Immerse yourselves in enchanting forest surroundings when you and your family and friends head off to this splendid holiday home in the Lake District’s Grizedale, 8 miles from Ambleside. Once a hunting lodge, the holiday home has eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms, ensuring the utmost comfort for its 16 guests. Perfect for a special celebration, extended family holiday or great escape for friends, it also welcomes a trio of canine companions who will simply adore the location. Set in gorgeous grounds and against the backdrop of woodland, the fabulous abode is well positioned for forest activities, as well as days out to Lake Windermere and Coniston Water, both within 7 miles of this retreat. Wander inside via the porch, discarding your outerwear as you go, and from the reception hall make your way on through into the airy lounge. Fire up the wood burner in this wonderful space to play games with your fellow guests, chat about your plans or watch the TV/DVD. From here make your way into the great dining room at meals times, where a splendid, square table is the perfect place for lively holiday meals together. Form small groups to prepare these meals next door in the kitchen, with its pantry, six-hob oven, two fridges and two dishwashers, plus a table for sitting down at to chop and peel. Also at ground-floor level is a double bedroom with its own snug, balcony, four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom, with free-standing bath, and a second double room with en-suite bathroom. Climb the impressive staircase to find three more double bedrooms, two with four-poster beds and en-suite bathrooms, and one with an en-suite shower room, plus two king-sizes with en-suite bathrooms, and a twin with an en-suite shower room. Each bedroom has its own TV. Spill out into the garden whenever the weather permits. have breakfast, lunch and dinner on the terraces or patios and find you have parking for as many as ten cars.
