There is a parking bay for one car next to the property at the stairs up to the cottage door. Pear Cottage offers a lovely romantic base for an adventure to the Scottish Borders. Admire its beautiful Melrose Abbey dating back to the 14the century, begin a trek along St Cuthbert's Way which begins in the town and spans 62.5 miles, and enjoy exploring the Eildon Hills.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Dogs are only permitted in the gardens, if well behaved and strictly always kept on leads, away from flower and vegetables beds; any fouling must be cleaned up and disposed of correctly.
