There is a stone breakwater pier and a protected sandy beach in the little community of Trefor, which overlooks Caernarfon Bay and the Wales Coastal Path. There is a Welsh Language and Heritage Centre and a restaurant in the nearby community of Llithfaen. Nearby Nefyn is a lovely coastal town with a two-mile stretch of sandy beach, as well as a decent selection of shops, cafes, and restaurants; the award-winning golf club attracts families and couples from all walks of life.
