Situated in a peaceful spot on the owner's nine acre smallholding, this lovingly converted single storey former barn enjoys stunning views across the picturesque surrounding countryside. The property lies on the outskirts of the pretty village of North Curry in the heart of rural Somerset. The village itself has a warm and welcoming character and offers a pub, coffee shop, and a handy village shop. For those who want to make the most of the serene countryside surroundings, there are miles of walks to be enjoyed directly from the front door, or you can head to the bustling town of Taunton which has a range of great pubs and restaurants (8 miles). The tranquil Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (9.5 miles) offers miles of panoramic views over exposed heathlands and lush woodlands. The wonderful Blackdown Hills are to the south (6 miles), stretching along the border with Devon. Entering this cheerful property, step through into the main open plan lounge/kitchen/diner where you will be greeted by fantastic floor to ceiling windows offering stunning views across the Somerset landscape. The lounge area is ideally situated by the windows so you can sit back and take in the scenery. Here you can also settle down in the evenings to watch TV in front of the snug wood burner. One of the sofas doubles as a sofa bed with sleeping space for up to two children. The light and elegantly arranged kitchen is to the rear of the room, with ample equipment so you can rustle up all your favourite dishes. A charming dining table to the side is perfect for sharing romantic meals together. When it s time to retire for the night, head through to the fresh and relaxing bedroom, decorated in warm, cosy shades and featuring a lovely king size bed and a handy TV, perfect for late night movies or lazy lie ins. Finally the property has an invigorating bathroom complete with a bath, separate shower and WC. Going outside, the barn benefits from its own delightful enclosed garden accessed via patio doors from the lounge. Here you can sit back and enjoy the fabulous hot tub with incredible countryside views (please arrange with the owner before arrival). There is plenty of outdoor furniture here, as well as a BBQ making it ideal for enjoying al fresco dining. If you fancy a game of tennis you will have access to the owner's tennis courts by prior arrangement.
