Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northumbria
This stunning stone barn conversion is set on a working farm in the rolling Cheviot foothills of Northumberland National Park, one of Northumbrias most scenic areas. The traditional cottage is perfect to enjoy a romantic getaway, with special touches ensuring relaxation and recuperation. Found in the hamlet of Rochester, which dates back to the Romans who built a fort there, you will be surrounded by 400 square miles of breath-taking landscape, just waiting to be explored on foot or by bicycle. As well as the beautiful Kielder Forest, the Cheviots and Hadrians Wall all being on your doorstep, you will also be able to take in some of the UKs finest stargazing - the lack of light pollution means Northumbria National Park has the darkest skies in England. Enter the property through the double gates, where a gravelled forecourt leads you to the front door. Stepping over the threshold, youll enter a gorgeous farmhouse kitchen/diner, complete with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, beautiful Welsh dresser and pine dining table. To the right of the kitchen, step down into a spacious lounge with a wood burner, TV, DVD and a sofa bed. It’s an ideal space to relax after a day exploring the wonderful surrounding countryside. To the left of the kitchen, youll find a sumptuous bedroom with a four-poster bed, en-suite shower and WC, and direct access to the private hot tub area outside. There is an enclosed garden and decked area with garden furniture to enjoy al fresco dining. There is storage for bikes at the property. Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
