Further afield, the historic port town of Bideford is just five miles away from the property, with its independent shops and narrow streets. From here, visitors may wish to enjoy a boat trip to the National Trust owned island of Lundy, with its puffins and herd of Sika deer. This converted grain store offers visitors a wonderful rural getaway and the cottage itself acts as a retreat from everyday life. Accessing the property up the four external steps, guests will come straight to the ground floor lounge area, which offers traditional stone floors, comfortable seating, a TV, DVD, and a wood burner effect electric fire. Down two stairs and tucked away behind an exposed brick wall is the kitchen/diner, with its dining table for two and its kitchen area, where guests will find an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge with ice compartment. Open tread stairs lead from the lounge to the upstairs accommodation, where there is an attractive double bedroom and an en suite shower room with WC. Outside, the property enjoys direct access to the public footpath, from where many countryside walks can be enjoyed and the owner s land may also be accessed by prior arrangement.
