Abergavenny, Pembrokeshire and the South
Tumbles End Barn is a dog friendly holiday cottage.
This detached property, accessed down a rather narrow country lane, offers peace and tranquillity and adjoins 40 acres of its own land, with beautiful walks, climbs and even caves and a waterfall to explore. The tranquil Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal is less than a mile from the property. The village centre of Govilon is just a short walk away and is right in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The village also lies on the edge of the Blaenavon World Heritage site, home to several historic attractions including the Big Pit National Coal Museum, Blaenavon Heritage Railway and Blaenavon Iron Works. There are many miles of walks, cycle routes and towpaths within easy reach, and opportunities to try climbing, abseiling, canoeing, ziplining, and caving are all on your doorstep. For a more restful day trip, nearby Abergavenny is a must, which has built an excellent culinary reputation and a visit to the award winning high street in Crickhowell is highly recommended. Enter the beautiful open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with views straight out to the fields beyond. The lounge area has two comfortable sofas, a smart TV and a warming wood burner to provide the cosiest focal point to the room. The dining area has a large table with chairs and two floor to ceiling windows looking to the outside. Prepare a meal in the well equipped kitchen with Aga, providing both warmth and charm, as well as an electric oven and hob, Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. From here you are led down a couple of steps to the lower ground floor with a second lounge, ideal for children and teenagers with a large sofa and smart TV and FreeSat. There is also a contemporary wet room with shower and WC on this level and bifold doors to outside. From the ground floor head upstairs to the first floor to the sleeping accommodation, where there are three bedrooms. The first is the master king size bedroom with a smart TV and fantastic rural and mountain views, followed by a further double and a twin bedroom, all with linen and towels provided. There is a bathroom on this floor with bath and WC that completes the property. Outside there is a large enclosed decked area with your own private hot tub, perfect for gazing up at the stars after a day of exploring. You can also enjoy use of the patio furniture and BBQ whilst taking in the far reaching views. Here you will also find access to the garage which houses the utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer.
