Local beaches really are local – Polruans town beach is 50 metres from your door, and Readymoney Cove in Fowey is half a mile from the ferry step. Over in Fowey there are more shops, galleries and restaurants, you can also hire a boats or try mackerel fishing. If you are keen walkers why not try the much-loved ‘Hall Walk, a circular 4-mile route including two ferry rides, 3 pubs on route, peaceful waterside views and winding wooded slopes. For a day out combining fascinating animals and a classic Cornish seaside village, Looe is within 10 miles by car and the Monkey Sanctuary is 4 miles further.
