Stroll to the village centre which boasts pubs, restaurants and pretty sand dunes along the estuary beach. Seasonally, take the passenger ferry across to the historic fishing village of Appledore which also offers a good range of pubs and eateries. For walkers and cyclists, the Tarka Trail is just a few minutes away offering miles of scenic, level pathways. The market towns of Barnstaple and Bideford and the National Trust coastal footpaths toward and beyond Clovelly are all a short drive away, or jump aboard The Oldenburg to Lundy Island for the day. Instow is on an excellent bus route between Ilfracombe Appledore and Westward Ho!
