More adventurous visitors may like to hike to the summit of Skiddaw and for those who like a tipple, the Lakes Distillery is just a few miles away offering a great day out. Explore the Western Lake District and coast where there are plenty of walks nearby such as Loweswater, Buttermere, Crummock, and Ennderale which have awe inspiring views to behold. Cockermouth is only 3.5 miles away and has an abundance of eateries and shops to enjoy. Keswick is only 11 miles away a tourist hot spot, which provides an array of independent shops, eateries, galleries, and parks to enjoy all on the shores of Derwentwater.
