4 Bedroom Bed in Keswick (SZ120)

With miles of breathtaking walks from the doorstep, this traditional 18th-century farmhouse offers cosy accommodation for larger families and groups of friends exploring a spellbinding part of the Lake District. Situated on the outskirts of the vibrant Lakeland town of Keswick, the property makes an idyllic retreat for nine guests. The cottage has a wealth of details including a warming wood burner, original exposed beams, sash windows, a pretty conservatory and a lovely garden with views towards Derwentwater. With Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite Lake to the north, and Thirlmere and Helvellyn to the south, this bright, colourful hideaway provides a wonderfully relaxing base for walkers, climbers and cyclists. Entering this spacious property, a small porch leads you through to the comfortable lounge. With a welcoming wood burner, smart TV, DVD and a shuttered window offering glorious views, the lounge is a great space for everyone to sit back, chat about the day or watch a movie in the evening. You can also unwind in the small conservatory which has a bistro table and chairs. The central dining room is perfect for sharing a fantastic family meal, and the room also has spectacular views as well as a good selection of maps, games and children’s toys. An archway leads through to the traditional kitchen which has a wide range of equipment and a handy table. Upstairs, you will find three cosy and charmingly decorated king-size bedrooms on the first floor, two with views overlooking the lake and fells. The invigorating family bathroom is also on the first floor. Further stairs lead up to the second floor where you will find the lovely triple bedroom with three single beds set in the eaves of the house. The adjoining bathroom also has low sloping ceilings along with pretty mosaic floor. Stepping outside, the delightful lawn garden offers plenty of space for children and dogs to exercise, and there’s outdoor furniture so you can dine alfresco while taking in the magical views across Derwentwater.
