This bright and spacious property is a fabulous holiday home for up to eight guests discovering the magnificent fells, sparkling lakes and deep woodlands at the heart of the Lake District. It lies just on the outskirts of the popular Lakeland town of Keswick. A perfect base for eager walkers, climbers, hikers, cyclists and nature lovers, this is a wonderful light-filled retreat with beautiful gardens and large windows offering stunning views toward Bassenthwaite Lake. The entrance to this beautiful property is on the first floor where you will find the elegant lounge offering glorious views. The lounge features plenty of seating, a wood burner-effect gas fire and a TV/DVD. The stylish family bathroom and four relaxing bedrooms are all on this floor: each with a TV and thoughtfully chosen artwork, you can choose between three king-size rooms (two of them en-suite) and a pretty twin room. Downstairs, the ground floor has a spacious and fully equipped kitchen/diner which makes a wonderful space for cooking some fantastic family meals. The large dining table is a sociable spot for everyone to get together, and bi-fold doors open onto the patio making a lovely garden room. Outside, the multi-level landscaped garden offers a lovely sloping lawn, mature shrubs and breathtaking views. The patio provides a great spot to dine alfresco. The heart of Keswick is just a mile away, with some great shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. Lying on the northern shore of Derwentwater, the town has numerous attractions including the Puzzling Place, Derwent Pencil Museum, the Theatre by the Lake, Friars Crag and Keswick Adventure Centre. Also nearby are Castlerigg Stone Circle, Mirehouse and Gardens, Bassenthwaite Lake, the peaks of Blencathra and Skiddaw, and the Lake District Wildlife Park (all within 9.5 miles).
