Located in the attractive hamlet of Newton on the Moor, which is surrounded by open countryside and pleasant walks from the door. Close to the A1 so reaching Northumberland s many attractions is super convenient in every direction. A renowned gourmet pub/restaurant is just a short walk away and nearby Shilbottle (3.5 miles) has a popular artisan bakery/restaurant. Alnwick s market town, castle and gardens are less than 6 miles. Visit Warkworth (7.5 miles) to explore the ancient castle ruins, independent shops and beautiful beach then stroll along the River Coquet to Amble s marina, to enjoy the excellent seafood restaurants, and boat trips to Coquet Island. Just over 7 miles away you can explore Alnmouth s pretty, main street shops and eateries, its stunning beach, and golf course with glorious sea views. Access the property into a welcoming hallway/boot room where you can leave your outdoor clothing and walking boots. After a day out in the fresh air, you can all relax in the lounge on comfortable seating to read a book, play some games, or watch a movie on the Smart TV and the warming wood burner will help you unwind and in warmer months, head through the French doors into the mature, enclosed garden to extend your days. Walk through to the kitchen/diner with a large dining table and six chairs and a fully equipped kitchen with a range style gas hob and electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. There is also a utility room with a washer/dryer and a useful wine fridge. The hallway, off the dining room, houses bookcases with interesting books to browse through during your stay and an old safe dating back to the original house. You will find the twin bedroom off this hallway with a dressing table and open storage for your things. The shower room has a shower cubicle and WC. Upstairs there are two lovely king size bedrooms, and the family bathroom has a bath with a shower over the bath and WC. Outside, there is a mature, enclosed west facing garden, and a BBQ perfect for alfresco dining, sunsets, and dark sky gazing and the summer house has seating for two to enjoy a morning coffee. There is off road parking for two cars on the gravel driveway next to the cottage.
