Situated in Rosthwaite village, just 6 miles south of Keswick in the beautiful Borrowdale Valley, this cottage is only 3 miles from Derwentwater and 6 miles from Keswick in the heart of the Lake District National Park World Heritage Site. The village is circled with mountains and located between the River Derwent and Stonethwaite Beck. It is at the southern end of the Borrowdale Valley just before the road begins its climb up the steep Honister Pass at Seatoller. This is an ideal place to stay if you enjoy walking, with the Cumbria Way literally on the doorstep. There are lots of activities in the immediate area including fishing, rock climbing, and water sports on Derwentwater. It is a peaceful area with a great selection of shops, pubs, and attractions in Keswick which can be reached by bus or car. The front entrance opens into a hallway, with the open plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area to the left. It offers the perfect space to prepare a romantic meal for two while chatting and making plans for the rest of your stay. The lounge has sofas, Smart TV, and an electric wall mounted fire; there is also a dining table for two. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, a larder style fridge, and a microwave. Across the hallway from the lounge is the bright double bedroom and along the hall is the bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Heading outside from the cottage, there is a shared garden with seating overlooking the Borrowdale Valley and fells. There is private parking for one vehicle in the small car park just 25 metres from the property; you can park at the front of the cottage to unload and load your car.

From these two start points, route to Buttermere via the Newlands pass. Once in Buttermere, take the B5289 to Rosthwaite via the Honister pass..
