This retreat is located just a few miles away from the well known village of Cartmel, which is a delightful place with quaint local shops and fine dining restaurants. Cartmel Racecourse is home to the UK s shortest steeplechase and has a full diary of interesting events when there are no race meetings. The seaside resort of Grange over Sands is also just over 3 miles away and a lovely place to spend the day exploring the attractions on the town s long promenade. Within a 20 mile radius of the property are Windermere, Hawkshead, Coniston, and Ulverston, making this property the perfect base to explore some of the hidden treasures of the Lake District. Walking into the grand hallway you will be immersed in the impressive design of the space with high vaulted ceilings, a glass banister, and oak stairs up to the first floor plus ground floor WC. The lounge area has been created to offer a delightful and homely space with a Three seater sofa,two seater sofa and two armchairs surrounding the wall mounted TV and wood burner (first basket of logs included) a perfect spot to relax during your family holiday. There is a separate dining area at the back of the room with a grand table and chairs to enjoy a family games night or meal together. Dinner will be a joy in this well designed kitchen, with everything the cook needs to create a delicious family feast. It s home to an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, and coffee machine. An island breakfast bar offers plenty of seating space, so enjoy reminiscing over the day's activities whilst dinner is prepared. Off the kitchen is the utility room with a washing machine. Heading up to the first floor via the amazing oak stairs, you will find three lovely king size bedrooms all with their own en suite shower room with WC and two have TVs. The outside space is perfect for enjoying an al fresco meal with a patio area and seating. There is on site parking for up to three cars.
