Located in a pretty hamlet around 12 miles from the market town of Hexham, this spacious property sleeps 11 people across six bedrooms and welcomes up to three dogs, while the large open-plan living areas ensure there’s plenty of space for socialising and entertaining. This Grade II-listed building is bursting with charm and character, with original stone walls, wooden beamed ceilings, and gorgeous stone floors with underfloor heating on the ground floor to keep toes toasty in winter. The welcoming entranceway has an original limestone floor, space to shrug off coats and boots and store bags and leads, as well as convenient chairs so you can sit to change muddy shoes or just enjoy a quiet reading nook. With floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides, the spacious kitchen/diner is a fantastic space for entertaining and socialising. The fitted kitchen is a pleasure to use, with a double range-style oven and a kitchen island so people can gather, drink and share stories while cooking, while the large dining table is perfect for memorable mealtimes. A door leads through to the impressive lounge, where the original stone walls stretch the full height of the property, topped off with an arched and beamed ceiling. This large room has a couple of seating areas, arranged around a wood burner at one end of the room and a Smart TV at the other, so the group can choose to gather together or spread out and relax as they wish. When bedtime rolls around, there’s a king-size zip-and-link bed that can be a twin upon request on the ground floor, and five further bedrooms upstairs – a super-king-size, a king-size, two twin rooms and a pretty single – so everybody is ensured a good night’s sleep. Four bathrooms ensure shower queues are kept at a minimum, while a utility room with a washing machine and dryer is a bonus. This beautiful property extends outside too, with a generous enclosed garden with outdoor furniture so you can make the most of warmer weather.
