Be sure to take a moment to investigate the Golden Hind in the harbour – this full-size replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship is one of the town’s most popular attractions. If you fancy a dip in the sea, head down to Shoalstone Beach for a swim in the tidal pool. The town is also a great place for trying a whole host of water sports, and you’ll find many companies offering everything from paddleboarding to jet skiing.
