Pevensey, South of England
Wake up to the sound of crashing waves and step outside straight onto the private beach in this Sussex coastal property. If you’re a group of ocean enthusiasts, this cheerful beach house will be a dream come true to mark any special occasion. During your stay, it’s unlikely you’ll feel the need to venture out into the surrounding areas, but if you do, you’ll discover the nearby South Downs National Park (6.5 miles) and the buzzing town of Eastbourne (6 miles). Enter the property through a convenient utility room where you can take off your shoes and towel down wet dogs who have been playing in the sea. Continue into the hallway, where you’ll find a WC on the way to the kitchen and open-plan living space. The kitchen is traditional and neutral-toned with plenty of surface space for preparing a hearty meal for your guests. Gather for a meal in the dining room around the light, Scandinavian-style table and chairs which seats up to 12 and benefits from sea views. The lounge is a colourful space with comfortable sofas surrounding a crackling wood burner and Smart TV. There is another separate seating area with ocean views and an area with games and crafts to keep little ones busy. Just off the main living space is a summer room with an additional table and chairs, which is ideal for an evening drink or to enjoy breakfast. Upstairs on the first floor are three bedrooms – a king-size with sea views, a single with an additional trundle bed and a balcony with seating, and a bunk bedroom with a single bed above a double. There is also a family bathroom on this floor. Access to the stairs that lead to the fourth bedroom are through the bunk bedroom. In this final bedroom, there is a double and single bed plus an en-suite shower room. Outside, you’ll find comfortable seating, a BBQ and a trampoline. The beach is just at the end of the garden.
