Cartmel Racecourse is home to the UK s shortest steeplechase and there are race meets as well as other events on offer. The popular picturesque Victorian seaside resort of Grange over Sands (2 miles) is a lovely place to spend the day exploring the attractions on the town s promenade. Walkers can enjoy splendid coastal walks around the Cartmel Peninsula (3.5 miles), Humphrey Head (2 miles) and many more. Other great places to visit are Bowness On Windermere (16 miles), Hawkshead (18 miles), Coniston (19 miles), or Ulverston (13 miles). This property is a perfect base to explore some of the hidden treasures of the Lake District. This beautiful country house will feel like a home away from home as soon as you walk in the door. The snug boasts another wood burner and seating area, right in the hub of the house.
