Situated on a private residential drive just a few hundred metres from the centre of the ever popular Lake District town of Bowness on Windermere, this beautifully appointed cottages has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Why not head down to Lake Windermere, which is less than 700 metres away, and take a steamboat tour of the lake or if you prefer, hire some kayaks and have your own mini adventures? The cottage makes a great base for exploring Ambleside, Windermere, Grasmere, and many other Lake District locations, all within 10 miles. The World of Beatrix Potter is less than 500 metres away here, the characters from these well known books are brought to life. At nearby Brockholes Activity Centre (3 miles) you can enjoy mini golf, tree top trampolines, zip lines, kayaking and archery. Walk up to Orrest Head (just over 1 mile), the first summit in Lakeland visited by A. Wainwright, author of the famous guidebooks, where you can drink in the outstanding views. This well presented detached property offers a warm welcome as you enter through the front door into the small porch, complete with storage for coats and shoes. Stepping through into the bright and open hallway, you will find the stylish lounge to your right; this room has a lovely bay window with views over the garden. Kick back, relax and discuss plans for the days ahead in front of the warming gas fire or watch your favourite film on the Smart TV. There is a formal dining room with views over the back garden and a large dining table to accommodate the whole party making it the perfect place to celebrate a occasion with those you love. Next door, there is a spacious and contemporary kitchen with breakfast bar and informal dining area, ideal for breakfast or a morning coffee. Off the kitchen there is a shower room with WC and a convenient utility room with laundry facilities. Head back into the hallway and up the staircase to the first floor, here you will find three welcoming bedrooms, one of which boasts an en suite bathroom. A family bathroom with a bath to enjoy a long soak after a day of walking completes the first floor. Outside, there is an enclosed lawned garden to the front and rear as well as a patio with seating area. There is a private drive which will accommodate up to three cars and storage for bikes and sports equipment. Less than 200 metres away there is a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants to choose from.
