Ludlow is widely considered to be England s finest market town, rich in history with its medieval castle, links to the Tudor dynasty and an unsurpassed array of historic buildings. It is famed for its markets, festivals, shops (renowned delis, butchers, bakeries, wine shops, chocolatiers, and greengrocers), restaurants and cafes. The town is surrounded by the idyllic Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with lots of opportunities for walking and cycling across the rolling hills. There is a thriving events calendar with horse racing at the racecourse and multiple events on the castle grounds including the annual food festival and summer live concert series. Explore the wider area with nearby National Trust properties Berrington Hall (7.5 miles) and Croft Ambrey Hillfort (8 miles) easily accessible.
