Sitting on the edge of the Peak District in Brassington, this spacious, dog-friendly cottage is perfect for a family getaway, with a large, enclosed garden, a cosy wood burner, and lots of space to relax. It’s surrounded by gorgeous countryside with pretty walks and bike trails, water sports, local attractions, and heaps to do nearby. The pretty stone cottage has lots of charming traditional features – wooden beams, stone flooring and exposed stone – combined with stylish interiors. Step into the light lounge with comfy seating and French doors to the garden, or sit in the second lounge, where there’s a wood burner and a TV with Netflix. The spacious kitchen/diner has charming wooden details and furniture with space to prepare and enjoy meals, wine storage and a well-stocked bookshelf. At one end is a cosy nook with a wood burner and armchairs with dog-friendly blankets so the pups can relax in comfort. There’s also a utility/boot room, a study/single bedroom, and a shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs are four more bedrooms: a king-size and three pretty doubles, one with an en-suite bathroom, and a shower room. Everyone will love the garden, with a patio seating area and gorgeous country views, a BBQ, and a lawn. For a great family walk, head to the Tissington Trail (less than 7 miles), a pretty 13-mile route you can walk or cycle. Walkers, cyclists, and water sports enthusiasts will want to head to Carsington Water (5 miles). Explore the seaside town of Matlock Bath (6.5 miles) and catch a cable car up the Heights of Abraham above the town. You might also want to wander around the stunning Chatsworth Estate and House (13.5 miles), which is surrounded by pretty walks.
