Garve is nestled in the northwest Highlands of Scotland and is conveniently close to Inverness (25 miles) and part of the NC500. It s just a 32 mile drive to Ullapool and Garve's train station offers fabulous connections for day trips to Plockton, Kyle of Lochalsh, and Inverness. If you are driving The Bealach na Ba pass to Applecross, is a highlight of the NC500 route, and about an hour's drive away. The Black Water River, located at the end of the garden, is perfect for fishing and scenic forest walks cater to outdoor enthusiasts, offering a great base for exploring the Strathconon area. Enjoy trails to Little Garve Bridge, Loch Garve, Black Water Falls, Rogie Falls, and Contin Forest, perfect for hiking and mountain biking. Nearby attractions for Munro bagging include Ben Wyvis and The Fannichs and many others in this beautiful region. Upon entering, you are greeted by a lounge area furnished with comfortable seating, including a full size double sofa bed (request if required), accommodating up to four guests in total. The centrepiece of the living area is a traditional feature stove fire, providing warmth and a homely ambiance, ideal for relaxing evenings. There is a delightful window seat area, where you can enjoy your meals while taking in the scenic views. This spot is perfect for a leisurely breakfast or a romantic dinner, making your dining experience memorable. The cottage boasts a well equipped kitchen, stocked with all the essentials needed to prepare a delicious meal after a day of walking and exploring. Whether you're a culinary enthusiast or just looking to whip up a quick snack, you'll find everything you need, from cookware to modern appliances. The Bothy features two single beds, designed for a comfortable night's sleep. The beds are dressed in cosy linens, ensuring a restful retreat after a day of activities. The sleeping area is thoughtfully arranged to provide both comfort and privacy for the guests. Upstairs, you will find a modern shower room, complete with all the necessary amenities. This well appointed space is perfect for refreshing yourself before heading out for the day or unwinding before bedtime. At the rear of the property, the cottage has a private designated decked area with outdoor seating, firepit/BBQ. This tranquil spot is ideal for enjoying your morning coffee or an evening drink while soaking up the serene surroundings.
Sleeps 2 2. 1 bedroom 1 twin room additional full size double sofa bed in the lounge for use on request. 1 bathroom 1 bathroom with shower and WC. Electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. There is no washing machine in the Bothy, however, laundry can be arranged for 5 per load (washed and dried), a drying rack is also supplied. Travel cot and highchair available. Welcome pack on arrival. Wood burner (logs included). Oil fired central heating throughout TV in the lounge. Allocated private use decked sitting area with fire pit/BBQ to the rear of the property.
