Iona Cottage is a terrace cottage resting on the outskirts of the town of Duns. This property comes with a ground-floor single bedroom with an en-suite shower, a ground-floor double bedroom and a twin bedroom with an en-suite basin and WC, sleeping up to five people. On the ground floor is a bathroom with a shower over bath, basin and WC. Completing the interior is a kitchen, a sitting room with an electric fire and a dining room with an electric fire. Outside, there is roadside parking and an enclosed garden with table and chairs. Iona Cottage is a delightful base for an exploring the border of Scotland.
Duns is a small border town set within a wide valley known as The Merse, and was once the capital of the Scottish Borders. Within the town you will find a good range of shops, including an award-winning butchers and quality delicatessen, pubs and restaurants, whilst the Jim Clark Museum is open to the public. Duns Castle rests within a nature reserve and offers woodland walks through the estate.
From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
