Dale View Cottage is a detached bungalow one mile from the town of Allendale. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms which are a double and a twin room. There is also a kitchen, a sitting room with a dining area and a family bathroom. Outside there is a lawned garden with a gravelled area and a patio with furniture where you can sit and enjoy the views and there is also off road parking for three cars. Dale View Cottage is a lovely retreat in a fabulous location, ideal for a couple or small family.
The town of Allendale was once the centre of a busy lead mining area, and many relics of the mining era remain around the area. Allendale is ideally placed for access to Carlisle to the west, Hexham to the east or the Roman Wall just to the north. There are lots of walks and unspoilt villages in the surrounding North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is an ideal location for exploring the surrounding countryside or travelling further north to the glorious Heritage Coastline. Furthermore Allendale is a popular stay for cyclists carrying out the Coast to Coast.
Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
