Buck Cottage is a quaint, traditional stone holiday cottage sitting next to a winding lane where the hedgerows are a mass of wild flowers in spring and summer. This charming cottage has been lovingly restored and furnished to reflect its history. It has plenty of wonderful old features - an inglenook fireplace, flagstone floors, beamed ceilings and stone walls.
In the sitting room a sofa and two chairs are set around the gorgeous inglenook fireplace in which sits a wood burning stove.There’s also a TV.
The kitchen has old wooden units, a Rayburn and an electric cooker, a fridge and a freezer. There is also a dining table in here with chairs seating up to six people.
The separate dining room is cosy and is an ideal space for informal meals.The second sitting room has a table and chairs and doors that open out onto the terrace.This space offers incredible views towards Red Wharf Bay.You access the bedrooms via open-tread wooden stairs. On the first floor you will find three bedrooms, two of which are interconnected.You have two double rooms and one room with a 4ft bed.The bathroom has a shower over the bath and a wash hand basin. The loo is separate to this and has a lovely view!
The garden is purposefully left natural and it has an outlook towards the sea. This is the perfect place to relax with your morning cup of tea or coffee.
Located near the eastern coast on Anglesey, Buck Cottage is a pleasant walk of about a mile to the shore at Red Wharf Bay. There are numerous walks close to the cottage, and the Anglesey Coastal Path is also close by.
Along the northeast coast of Anglesey is the very large (4.5 mile-long) bay of Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name of Traeth Coch (Red Beach) rining true as the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow, and at low tide almost 10 square miles of sand is uncovered to provides safe bathing, perfect for family fun, fishing and miles of stunning, scenic walks. The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 3 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris, which boasts a 13th century moated castle, lovely buildings housing excellent shops, olde-worlde pubs, restaurants, bistros, museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips. This is a beautiful location on the east coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey.
