Gowanlea is a detached, double-fronted cottage situated in the quaint village of Falstone, on the fringes of Keilder Forest Park and the National Nature Reserve. All on ground-floor, this cottage has two bedrooms; a super king-size double with en-suite shower room and a children's bunk room, sleeping four people altogether. There is also a bathroom, a kitchen and a living/dining room with multi-fuel stove. Outside is off-road parking for two cars and an enclosed garden with a patio and lawned area. Gowanlea offers a varied holiday in a fascinating part of Northumberland.

Falstone lies on the fringes of Kielder Forest, offering some of the best ‘dark skies’ in England. There are many signed walking paths through the forest, and cycle tracks with different routes to suit a variety of abilities, plus fishing and an abundance of wildlife in the area. Hadrian's Wall is an easy drive away and the National Trust properties, including Wallington Hall and Cragside are also within reach.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
