Primrose Cottage is a mid-terrace cottage in the hamlet of Burtersett just one mile from Hawes. The cottage sleeps four people and has one king-size double bedroom, one twin and a family bathroom. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen with dining area and multi-fuel stove and a sitting room with open fire. Outside is free roadside parking, additional parking on quiet lane 50 yards away and a private, enclosed front garden with a bench and rear, enclosed, shared courtyard with furniture. Situated in the Yorkshire Dales, Primrose Cottage is a lovely family cottage from which to explore this lovely part of the world.
The picturesque and traditional Wensleydale village of Burtersett, which dates back to Norse times, is surrounded by beautiful Dales countryside. It is an ideal base for touring the many attractions of the Dales, such as the waterfalls at Aysgarth and Hardraw Force, plus the lake at Semerwater and Bolton Castle, to name but a few. It allows easy access to Cumbria, just 17 miles away, and the Lake District. Nearby is the bustling market town of Hawes with the award-winning Dales Countryside Museum and the famous ropemakers. Hawes is the 'capital' of Wensleydale and has a good range of shops, pubs and eating places.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
