Upper House Barn is a barn conversion set within the village of Delph. Designed in a reverse level layout, on the ground floor are the bedrooms, including a king-size double, two doubles and a twin (zip/link), as well a bathroom, sleeping up to eight people in total. Upstairs is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining and sitting area, plus a shower room. Outside is a lawned garden with a private hot tub, as well as ample off-road parking with convenient nearby road access to local tourist spots and Manchester is also only a 30 minute taxi ride away. Upper House Barn is perfect for a family getaway, any time of year. Note: Two well behaved dogs welcome. Can all pets please remain in the upstairs of the Barn. Plenty of dog walking available from the property itself. There is also a commercial nearby dog walking field approx 2 miles away.
The village of Delph is located on the Yorkshire/Lancashire border and has barely changed from its 19th century hey-day, when its mills were at the heart of a thriving community. Today it remains the start for walks up the Castleshaw Valley to the Roman Fort, one of a series built on the Roman military road from Chester to York.
Littered with rural villages, half-timbered buildings and heritage sites, with links to the neighbouring cities of Manchester and Liverpool, Cheshire offers picturesque landscape scenery in North West England.
