Keepers Cottage is detached cottage based in the hamlet of Greywaithe, close to Lake Windermere. On the ground floor is two bedrooms, including a double, twin and shower room, while upstairs is a king-size double with en-suite shower, two doubles and a second shower room. Altogether this cottage can sleep ten people. There is also a kitchen/diner and a sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside is a patio garden and off-road parking. Keepers Cottage is a charming base for families seeking a relaxing Lake District escape.
The quaint village of Hawkshead still retains its character and charm in the form of its higgledey-piddlegy houses, archways and squares, once beloved by William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. There are several pleasant inns, tea shops, guest houses and gift shops in the village, making it an ideal location for tourists. In the heart of the village is the Beatrix Potter gallery, a museum and a gallery showcasing a selection of her original drawings and illustrations.
