Outside is off-road parking for one car and a private rear garden with a decking area, furniture and a hot tub, a lawn and another set of furniture with a chiminea. Crag View is an ideal base from which to explore the stunning countryside of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
The lovely village of West Woodburn lies amidst the deep Rede Valley and was once an important resting point in Roman times for travellers on route to Scotland from York. The village hosts a welcoming pub and a Post Office selling basic supplies, whilst visitors can also explore the remains of one of the outpost forts of Hadrian's Wall that passes nearby. The historic village Otterburn, with its world-famous Woollen Mill and Shop is just a short drive away and is popular with walkers and cyclists alike, whilst the nearby, beautiful Kielder Forest affords fantastic fishing, boating, horse riding and nature watching opportunities. The market town of Hexham is 20 miles away, plus the vibrant city of Newcastle upon Tyne just 35 miles away has the renowned Metro Shopping Centre and excellent night life.
