There is one twin bedroom and a shower room. Outside, the shared garden has furniture and a gas barbecue, along with private off-road parking for one car. Within 3.1 miles, there is a shop, and within 3.4, a pub. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Please note smoking is not permitted. A highchair and travel cot are available on request. Glaisdale is a peaceful village on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, in the Esk Valley. The village has a post office, a butcher (famous for his pork pies) and a hotel/pub with restaurant. Whitby and the coast are 9 miles away, as are the quaint moorland villages of Hutton-le-Hole, Lastingham and Thornton Dale, as well as the market town of Pickering. For something a little quieter, visit Saltburn by the Sea, a charming Victorian seaside resort. The North York Moors Railway ends at Grosmont, where you can take a steam train ride through beautiful moorland scenery.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
