Brampton is a market town resting on the outskirts of Carlisle, offering a great base for exploring Hadrian’s Wall. The town boasts rich and colourful history, dating back to the Roman occupation, Border raiders from Scotland and the Jacobite uprisings. Today, you will find Moot Hall, which was built in 1817, and now houses the Tourist Information Centre and is surrounded by a selection of amenities.
