This beautiful Georgian market town made of stone is regarded as one of the best stone towns in England. The town boasts a fantastic selection of independent stores, reputable retailers, character-rich pubs, and a variety of restaurants. It is famous for serving as Meryton in the 2005 Pride & Prejudice movie. Every Friday there is also a weekly market. Visit the banks of the River Welland, which flows through Stamford, for some pleasant walking and a wealth of wildlife. The Burghley Estate, a stunning Elizabethan stately estate, a number of golf courses, and Rutland Water are just a few of the many neighbouring attractions.
