Nearby is Canterbury, a popular city with an array of historic attractions, museums, galleries and theatres, as well as pubs, boutiques, restaurants and riverside boat trips. Another town worth a visit is Whitstable, a lovely cobbled harbour town famous for its regular Oyster festival. Herne Bay is a spectacular holiday destination to discover the Kent coast.
