The open-plan living space includes a kitchen housing an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dining seating and TV while the utility room houses a washing machine. The bedrooms include two king-size doubles and a twin, serviced by a bathroom. To the outside is parking. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in rent. This property will accept pets however smoking is not allowed. Within 0.2 miles there is a shop, a pub in 0.1 miles and a beach in 0.2 miles. 3 Clarks Terrace offers a charming abode, whatever time of year. Please note: The wood burning stove is not currently in use
On the Solway Firth, the well-liked seaside town of Allonby is situated along a five-mile-long crescent-shaped harbour. It has a pristine shingle beach, sand dunes, and a long, verdant promenade. There are lovely panoramic views across the harbour towards Criffel and the Galloway Hills of Scotland, and the flat ground is perfect for walkers of all ages, dogs, windsurfers, and kite flyers. The village, which is located in an area recognised as having outstanding natural beauty, has retained much of its Victorian and Georgian charm, with cobblestone streets, intriguing nooks to discover, and a number of magnificent buildings, including The Baths, an impressive colonnaded structure. Despite its small size, Allonby is a thriving community with public houses, a number of cafes, an ice cream shop/general store, a post office, an antiques shop, a leisure centre with a pool, events in the village hall, and a children's play park. The majestic Lake District Fells provide the village with the perfect backdrop. The Cumbria Coastal Walk and Allerdale Ramble both pass through the village. You may also play a round of golf at one of the two courses nearby or go to Maryport, which contains a maritime museum, a Roman museum, and an award-winning coastal aquarium. You can travel just a short distance to the ancient city of Carlisle, cross the border to Gretna Green, experience Hadrian's Wall's 2000-year legacy, or spend fun-filled days exploring the picturesque Western Lakes and fells, where there are a variety of things to see and do, including Hadrian's Cycleway where you can take in the breathtaking views as you travel. For mountain bikers and walkers, the breathtaking Whinlatter Forest Park in the vicinity of Keswick is a haven, and for the more daring, the Go Ape high wire adventure course is perfect. Allonby is a wonderful year-round getaway that makes a great starting point for exploring the region.
