Llanberis is a renowned mountain tourist destination in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, dominated by the majestic Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon Massif) and bordered by Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris lakes. As the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon, the highest mountain in both England and Wales, Llanberis is somewhat of a walking and climbing hotspot. To reach the top, take the Snowdon Mountain Railway or one of the many available footpaths.
