Dalwhinnie is a small hamlet set amongst the exceptional mountain scenery of Badenoch, a fantastic base to explore the scenic countryside. The area is one of the coldest in the UK, making for a wonderful trip for winter walking and mountaineering while just south of the area rests Drumochter, and both Edinburgh and Glasgow are within easy reach, under three hours away by car. Dalwhinnie itself hosts the Dalwhinnie Brewery and is known for its Dalwhinnie Single Malt whiskey, while boasting an abundance of walking and cycling routes surrounded in the breathtaking scenery of the Cairngorms National Park.
