Situated down a peaceful lane in the heart of Chipping Campden, this well appointed Cotswold cottage is just 300 metres from the village centre and its many excellent restaurants, independent shops and boutiques. Close to the Cotswold Way footpath and within easy reach of Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham and Oxford. Ideally situated for walking, racing, gardens, Stratford Theatre and antique shops.
The cottage has large rooms, all nicely furnished ensuring a comfortable stay. The ground floor provides a kitchen/dinner and living room with the first floor benefitting from 2 bedrooms, 1 twin and 1 double, and a family bathroom.
To the rear of the property is an enclosed garden and off-street parking for 1 car.
Cowfair Cottage is a great base from which to discover the Cotswolds. Head out for a leisurely walk around the 17th century Market Hall in the centre of the town and the East Banqueting House, just a little further on. Visit the Little Oak Vineyard, an award-winning vineyard where you can try and buy wonderful wines.
Slightly further afield you will find a sizeable 20th century garden in Hidcote Manor Garden, which is run by the National Trust and is home to two lovely cafés, gorgeous gardens with narrow pathways and lawn games.
Moreton-in-Marsh is home to Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre where you can enjoy the stunning grounds, meander around the garden centre and enjoy a refreshing drink at the café.
Children are welcome. The property allows 1 small or medium, well behaved dog.
This market town defines the saying "good things come in small packages" as it proves itself to be a wonderful place for tourists to stay. Chipping Campden sits in the northern part of the Cotswolds and boasts many historical buildings from St. James' church where the Chipping Camden Music Festival is held every year, to the early 17th century market hall upon which the town prides itself. Not only does the town have a rich history but much more, the high street is laced with charming Cotswold stone buildings with a range of shops and pubs. Nearby there are several beautiful, formal gardens for you to wander through. Chipping Campden has held its own 'Olimpick Games' since the early 1600s including peculiar sports such as 'shin-kicking', most certainly worth lining your holiday up with to experience something so unique. For a dose of famous history, head to the birthplace of William Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon just 12 short miles away, it offers some charming little buildings, bookshops, theatres and museums.
Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.
