The village is home to the welcoming Bay Horse Pub where you can sample a tasty meal and local ales, and the historic Catterick Racecourse, which has been hosting races as early as the mid-17th century. Nearby is the scenic Bolton-on Swale Nature Reserve, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll whilst soaking up the fantastic scenery as well as the local wildlife.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
