The cottage can sleep four guests in two bedrooms, including a double and a twin with zip/link. There is a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC, as well as a kitchen/diner and sitting room with a woodburning stove. LPG central heating throughout. The kitchen/diner has an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washing machine. For entertainment, there is a TV with Freesat and DVD player, WiFi and a selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power, starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are all included. Outside there is off-road parking for two cars and an enclosed garden with furniture. The cottage accepts one well-behave dog. Smoking is not allowed. Barn Cottage is the perfect dwelling for a family trip to North Yorkshire. Shop 3.3 miles and pub 1.2 miles.
Kirkbymoorside is a charming, historic market town on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, halfway between Helmsley and Pickering. This quaint town has a lot of Yorkshire charm, serving as the hub for the surrounding farms and towns. There are a number of shops to choose from, including tea houses, taverns, and restaurants, as well as antique shops, and a market day is held every Wednesday The National Park's superb walking and scenery are close by.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
