A busy, picturesque fishing community in Northumberland's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, complete with a picturesque harbour. Seahouses is home to a wide array of stores and a great number of restaurants and drinking establishments. Numerous beautiful sandy beaches can be found in the area, and day-long boat journeys from Seahouses to the nearby Farne Islands, home to a bird refuge and seal colony, are an experience not to be missed. The beautiful castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (the residence of the Duke of Northumberland), to name just a few, are just a few of the many castles and grand homes that may be visited. You can also go horseback riding, fishing, or play golf in the area.
