It gets its name from the Anglo-Saxon term 'ceaster,' which means 'Roman fort,' in honour of the fort established in 200 CE as a base for Roman forces. Nowadays, the quaint town is graced with miles of beautiful sandy beaches and is home to a variety of local bars, shops, restaurants, and takeaways, providing guests with all of the necessities. Caister Castle Car Collection, which has over 200 veteran, vintage, and classic automobiles and bikes, will excite gearheads, while the spa at the Old Hall Hotel will lend a touch of luxury to any visit.
