There is also a conservatory with dining seating and a snug. For entertainments, guests can use two TVs with Freeview, a Smart TV, DVD Player, Bluetooth speaker, Lavazza coffee capsule machine with some complimentary pods. The bedrooms consist of a double with en-suite shower room, another double, and a single bedroom, along with a shower room. Outside there is an enclosed garden with patio, lawned area and furniture, as well as off-road parking for one car. Two well-behaved pets are welcome; however, smoking is not permitted. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, towels and starter pack for woodburner are all included in the price. Within 0.2 miles there is a shop and within 0.1 miles, a pub. Hope Cottage is charming abode for a countryside escape.

The picturesque village of Castleton nestles in the beautiful Esk Valley, in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. Surrounded by stunning scenery, this bustling village offers superb amenities including two pubs, both serving great food, a convenience store, deli & tea rooms. There is a railway station serving the Esk Valley and Whitby, which also links with the steam line to the attractive market town of Pickering. The Camphill Village Trust community of Botton is nearby, with its craft workshops and shops selling home produced food, craft items and books. The historic city of York is just over an hour away, and the coastal towns and villages of Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hood's Bay and Sandsend with its lovely beach, are within easy driving distance, and well worth a visit.
