Kirk Smeaton, a semi-rural community in North Yorkshire, is the county's most southerly village. Brockadale Nature Reserve, an untouched area with a diversity of fauna and a river for calm walks, is located nearby. The Shoulder of Mutton has a beer garden where you may enjoy home-cooked meals and a cold beverage, while a classic Post Office has everything you need for a self-catered stay. Outside of the hamlet, there's Hemsworth Water Park for a splash, Diggerland Yorkshire for interesting rides, and The Wonkey Donkey to learn everything there is to know about donkeys.
From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?
