Tintagel, location of King Arthur's Castle, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. Sea, rocky coves, and breathtaking beauty characterise the area. Surfing is a popular activity at adjacent Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove. The Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must-see in Tintagel. The SW Coast Path crosses through the hamlet, winding along the cliffs and down to the water's edge. Boscastle, with its picturesque waterfront and village bars, lies 2.5 miles north along the trail. Newquay, Bude, the Eden Project, Padstow, Camel Estuary, and Port Isaac are all within a 40-minute drive.
