The little community of Caergeiliog is nestled between Trearddur Bay and Rhosneigr, two popular seaside resorts on Anglesey's west coast. The scenery is breathtaking, with a long swath of low grassland shoreline punctuated by rocky bays and fine sand beaches (European Blue Flag and Green Coast Award). In the summer, the major activities at RAF Valley are watersports, bathing, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, and plane spotting, while golfers will enjoy two outstanding 18-hole links golf courses. With renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and Valley Lakes, as well as plenty of rock pools and spectacular cliff top treks to explore, it's a terrific destination for nature enthusiasts. Nearby Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay include stores, taverns, and restaurants, but Holyhead has more amenities, including a decent leisure facility, an intriguing harbour front, a marina, the world's second longest breakwater, and exciting day trips to Dublin on the fast ferry. This is a fantastic place with a lot to see and do!
