Evesham is known for its market gardening and boasts a variety of shops, tea houses, craft and antique shops, traditional pubs, an Art Deco cinema, and a vibrant arts centre. Evesham, listed in the Domesday Book, features many black-and-white timbered structures, including a 15th-century merchants house in the Market Square and the 8th-century remnants of Evesham Abbey. Shakespeare's Avon Way, Wychavon Way, and Heart of England Way are nearby. Evesham Country Park has a garden store, farm shop, courtyard shops, and restaurant, as well as a 130-acre estate crisscrossed with walks.
