Two well-behaved dogs welcome but they must be kept on a lead as there is livestock nearby. Apologies, no smoking. Within 1.9 miles there is a shop and within 1.5 miles, a pub. Gardeners Cottage is stunning base for exploring this charming town.
Hungerford, Berkshire, is surrounded by farmland and has the Kennet & Avon Canal. This charming town has antique shops, boutiques, and tea places. Dine at a tavern or shop at supermarkets. North Wessex Downs AONB, with its mountainous topography and vistas, located just outside the town. Newbury is home to the Nature Discovery Centre, Donnington Castle, and West Berkshire Museum. Hiking, mediaeval castles, and learning about the area's history and culture are popular pastimes. Winchester, with its Mythology-themed Great Hall and budget-friendly stores, is also nearby.
