A beautiful coastal town in the south. Dawlish has everything you need for day-to-day life, from a small cinema to a wide selection of shops and restaurants. Black swans and other waterfowl make Dawlish Marsh their home, and the marsh is known for them. During the summer, the water that flows through the town park and into the sea is illuminated by colourful string lights. Dawlish is the ideal holiday resort for families thanks to its beautiful sandy beach and nearby crazy golf course. Dawlish Warren is located further up the coast and is accessible by car, train, or, for the more active, a brisk walk along the sea wall. Plenty of trains stop at Dawlish's mainline station, allowing you to travel to nearby cities like Exeter, Exmouth, Torquay, Paignton, and Plymouth.
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
